Brief History of BumbleBee Technologies LLC
BumbleBee Technologies LLC was founded to solve a significant problem experienced by everyone – a static electricity surge or more technically referred to as an electrostatic discharge (ESD) event.
The Inspiration
The founder of the company was finally completing three days of data entry into an Excel file for his 2023 tax return when he decided another cup of coffee was needed. Walking across a carpet to return to his office, he unknowingly acquired a significant static charge build-up and touched his laptop near the USB memory stick which stored all his entered financial data.
As he approached his previously inserted USB memory stick, he felt the static shock and prayed all of his entered data had survived the ESD event. Unfortunately, the laptop and the USB memory stick combination did not survive the ESD event and all of his previously stored data was corrupted and non-accessible. Twenty hours of work destroyed in a millisecond!
The Solution
Our founder proceeded to complete an internet search for personal static electricity surge protectors, but to his surprise, none were available in the marketplace. As an avid inventor having been granted over 83 US and international patents, he then solved the ESD problem and created the patent pending product line of electrostatic surge protectors to controllably dissipate any acquired electrostatic charge.
BumbleBee Technologies LLC was subsequently formed to manufacture and market a product line of electrostatic surge protectors to protect electronic devices from the devastating damage caused by an ESD event, maintaining system integrity and protecting hardware, software and data.
